Micah: Look at the Moon!

Ryan: Did you know that God made the moon?
Micah: Yeah. (pause) I think God takes a knife and cuts the moon.
Our thoughts: Huh? Oh, like for the crescent moons.
His mind is always working.

Oh, sounds like Micah and Sammy could get together and talk some serious theology. Here's a similar conversation with Sam:
(we were in the car)
Sammy: Mom, why there so many hills?
Me: Well, because when God made the world, he made some places flat and some places have hills. (I have started to use God more and more in these "why" answers, as it tends to give an air of authority and end the line of questioning)
Sammy: (after thinking for a minute) Yeah, like the mall!
(the mall has a ramp to the parking garage)
